• Week whatever into the short porch “experiment” and only 3 HR’s have utilized the inviting porch. Personally, I Love it, and I think most of the league agrees that it should stay.
• The best series game of the year was this past Sunday's. There have been a couple fun exhibition games, but all the series games have been laughers. If the rest of the series is half as good as Game 1, it will easily be the best series of the year.
• I might as well face it, I am addicted to glove. Some of the best catches all year took place this Sunday. Leland’s sprinting grab in foul ground, Bush’s diving stop and gun, to my personal favorite, Simas’ tumbling catch in left. It was a great day all around for the fielders.
• Eddie D. needs to take a few notes from the Gold Glove winners and actually use that thing that is on his hand instead of catching the ball with his thighs. If you saw his nice bruise on his upper thigh, then you know what I am talking about. Maybe it was a tribute to his Polish Soccer team, No Hands!
• Mr. Goodson didn’t make an appearance this weekend, which is unfortunate, because I was looking forward to watching Joel play along with the malignant tumor story.
• According to Coach Manning, he fell victim to the “Coach’s Curse”. He committed a couple errors and had a rough day at the plate. It got so bad that he played some catcher and then later sat on the bench.
• Badass4life.com keeps getting better and better with all the additions, from the videos to field information and all the additional pictures. If you haven’t taken a tour, you should do so.
• The Badass store also has some nice new merchandise for you to show your pride for BAB. As an added bonus, once the site fees are paid off, all proceeds from purchases will go directly to the BAB account to be used for Balls, the fence, awards, the banquet and other things. So head on over there and buy some stuff!
